On a calm lake at night one can row a small boat across the stars (Chinese poem).
I spent 4 days at Pocket lake on the north end of Chalice ridge. What a wonderful little lake with a spectacular view of the Septet range (Shangri La). I wanted to photograph it under a starry sky with the stars reflected in the lake. You can imagine my surprise and excitement in watching the aurora develop!! It's one of those times when I've been in the right place at the right time. The aurora included spectacular shafts of light coming from below the horizon.
